Indigenous Patient Led CPD

Cultural safety in health-care settings is meant for everyone. However, for Indigenous Peoples and communities, a history of hardship and colonization carries an intergenerational and detrimental legacy that impacts people’s present-day realities. Comparative health statistics reflect unacceptable disparities between Indigenous and non-Indigenous populations in Canada.

International Medical Graduates (IMGs)

We are proud to play a central role in preparing and orienting International Medical Graduates (IMGs) for success in diverse practice settings across BC.

British Columbia - Physician Integration Program (BC-PIP)

In collaboration with the Joint Collaborative Committees, we support the transition of practice-eligible IMGs from provisional to full licensure.

Practice Ready Assessment - British Columbia (PRA-BC)

In partnership with PRA-BC, we coordinate and deliver a comprehensive, multi-day Centralized Orientation for IMGs, and a two-day training workshop for their Assessors.

Midwifery

The CPD Midwifery Program supports practicing midwives in BC and across Canada through continuing professional development. Learn how to build a midwifery practice, provide essential emergency skills and support pregnant patients and newborns. By attending CPD programs you will remain up-to-date on essential skills by attending conferences, workshops and webinars related to perinatal health across the patient journey.
